For this national landmark creating a substantial standoff distance had to be maintained to protect the monument and other tourist locations on site. However, the solution had to allow emergency vehicles access and provide an effective and friendly environment for tourism.

SecureUSA used a mixture of retractable and fixed bollards to create the unique solution. Fixed bollards were used in most locations, but where vehicle access was needed retractable bollards were used. An integrated control station was incorporated into a bollard sleeve in the form of a keypad to allow authorized personnel to raise and lower the retractable bollards in emergency situations. SecureUSA also provided decorative sleeves on both the fixed and retractable bollard to provide a seamless solution in looks and operation.
