SecureUSA’s New FutureWEDGE™ Vehicle Barrier Combats Terrorism

SecureUSA announced today that their newly released electrically operated FutureWEDGEvehicle barrier system has been government crash certified at the K4 level.

Atlanta, GA June 6, 2007 – SecureUSA, Inc., the leading provider of perimeter defense solutions, has announced that their latest electrically operated vehicle barrier has been government crash certified at the K4 level, 15,000 lbs. vehicle traveling 30 mph. The recently released SecureUSA FutureWEDGE™ has been accepted by many metropolitan entities as a standard for effectively reducing the risk of terrorist or criminal attacks and substantially lowering installation and maintenance.

The new FutureWEDGE™ vehicle barrier was designed for metropolitan areas where government and corporate agencies are seeking high security, pollution free protection for their vehicular entrances.  Traditional hydraulic vehicle barriers are either too large, noisy, or slow to work in high traffic metropolitan areas and traffic control gate arms are very common but do not provide any security protection.  The FutureWEDGE™ vehicle barrier aims to effectively exceed these customer needs, utilizing a surface mount design with a shallow foundation for easy installation as a single solution for high security metropolitan entrances.  The vehicle barrier also features integrated lights and a traffic arm for improved safety and effective traffic operation.  Successful applications include parking garages, executive entrances, restricted access lanes and more.  The new SecureUSA FutureWEDGE™ electric vehicle barrier has already been installed in many locations across North America meeting rigorous high frequency of use, while maintaining effective protection for facilities and clients, with minimum maintenance requirements.

The FutureWEDGE™ vehicle barrier incorporates the latest technology in the perimeter defense industry.  With real time monitoring, available touch screen controls, and programmable logic control (PLC) technology, the surface mount electric vehicle barrier is one of the safest on the market.  Infrared beams are utilized to detect vehicles and people creating a safer environment in high traffic areas.  The completely electric FutureWEDGE™ barrier is environmentally friendly and easy to integrate with card readers, RFID, and biometrics.  The PLC uses advanced technology to notify the operator of any system errors or possible faults reducing the likelihood of any downtime or a security breach before it occurs.

SecureUSA is leading the perimeter security industry with state of the art products and solutions.  The FutureWEDGE™ range has been crash certified up to Department of Defense K4 level to meet any application needs of corporations and government agencies around the world.  With SecureUSA’s continuous product innovations, corporations and government agencies can effectively secure their critical locations, save money and continue to focus on their core business with peace of mind.
